An Introduction to Essati’s Founder
Daphne Woolfolk…

Daphne is an expert in building world class teams.   With 14 years of experience in business and human resource, she teaches business owners how to spot untapped potential in people and create places where employees and contractors are motivated to achieve great results for their companies.

In one of her successes, Daphne was responsible for teaching a 500 person sales force to think like entrepreneurs -identifying target markets, creating business plans and honing their selling skills with a bullet-proof 6 step sales model.  In the period these initiatives were applied, the region achieved a positive sales growth creating millions of new revenue dollars for the company.  All this despite operating in a declining market.

With a strong ability to bring out the best in people, Daphne has facilitated team building sessions for groups from 5 to 70 members. As an outcome of these efforts, work groups are collaborating across differences and innovating faster. This has created happy business owners who now spend less time working in their businesses and more time working on them.

After holding leadership positions in companies such as Philip Morris and Colgate Palmolive, Daphne decided she wanted to control her own destiny and chose to strike out on her own adopting the people strategies found in big business to the needs of small and midsized companies. She now heads, Essati Consulting, an HR consulting firm whose mission is “To create environments where people bring their best selves to work every day.”  She has worked with over 50 entrepreneurs on staffing, team development and leadership challenges.  Many are repeat clients attesting to the effectiveness of her work.

Daphne is an active entrepreneurial enthusiast. She has been a featured speaker for groups including the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and the IL CPA Society. She’s served as a business mentor for Count-Me-In’s Make Mine a $Million Business™ program and as an advisor for the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center’s ATHENAPowerLink® program.

A life-long learner, Daphne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University and a Master’s of Arts degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota. A world traveler - 4 continents and counting - Daphne greatly appreciates the large extended family, close friends and business mentors who support her endeavors.
